Abstract |
The collection consists of correspondence, an estate sale notice, and a bound volume of newspapers. The correspondence concerns incidences of influenza or "la grippe" in Richmond, Va., and tonsillitis and diphtheria in Goldsboro, N.C. The estate sale notice lists items for sale and includes a new cotton gin; supplies for building a gin house; two bushel barrels of apple brandy; 8,000 shingles; and 30 bushel barrels of plank road dip. The bound volume of newspapers contains "The Anson Times" from October 13, 1880 to October 5, 1881. |
