At a General Assembly of the state of Connecticut, holden at Hartford on the second Thursday of May, 1798 : Upon the petition of the town of Hartford---Resolved, that the Honourable Thomas Seymour [and seven others] ... are hereby constituted and declared ... one body corporate and politic, in fact and in name, by the name of The Trustees of the Grammar School in the Town of Hartford.
