General note | The only recorded copy, held by the American Antiquarian Society, is mutilated, with loss of last digit of imprint date. Dated 1792 by Bristol; Loring Andrews, publisher of the Western star, Stockbridge, advertised in the March 20, 1792, number, "A small work containing a description of a choice collection of country dances, for sale at the printing-office ..." However, the presence of "Genet's Recall" (p. 13) suggests that this edition was printed sometime after the call of Edmond Genet in 1794. |
