Abstract Despite the singularity and uniqueness of female expression, women's artistic output has been virtually ignored until now. In the field of music, few female composers are known. It doesn't mean that they didn't exist, but rather that their contribution has not been socially recognized and assessed to the same degree as their male counterparts. For this reason, Mundoarts Publications decided to publish a volume entirely devoted to art songs written by Latin American and Iberian female authors, some of whom are active at the present time. With this publication, we seek to contribute to the appreciation and promotion of the musical compositions of Latin American and Iberian women composers, whose unique voice enriches the history of universal music.
