Abstract |
Entrepreneur and consultant Robin Wilson was born on September 26, 1969 in Austin, Texas. Wilson was a member of a fourth-generation Texas real-estate family, beginning with her great-grandfather who owned several rental properties. She received her B.A. degree in history and economics from the University of Texas in 1991. After working for several executive firms including Mercer Management Consulting and Heidrick & Struggles, she went back to school, receiving her M.S. degree in real estate finance from New York University. While still in graduate school, Wilson founded WSG Consulting, a project management firm with a focus on helping homeowners' complete renovations. In 2006, she rebranded the firm Robin Wilson Home, focusing on both design and project management. By 2007, she started an online retail store, The Nest Store, which sells eco-friendly kitchen cabinetry. In 2009, she became the first woman to license her name to a manufacturer of eco-friendly kitchen cabinetry. In 2010, Wilson wrote her first book, Kennedy Green House. |
