General noteFrom the text: "The justices of the peace of this city, assembled at this general quarter sessions of the peace, taking into their due consideration the several complaints taht have been made against the inn-keepers, hostlers, and stable-keepers within this city and liberties thereof, for selling their horse-meat and provender at excessive and immoderate rates and prices, .." -- The order is intended to regulate the costs of keeping horses at livery or stables.
