Abstract | The Museo del Prado in Madrid is one of the most popular and largest art museums in the world. The building is an example of Classicism by Juan de Villanueva and, in 1818, was converted into a royal museum for Ferdinand VII. In addition to major Italian, German and Flemish masterpieces, it harbors one of the most valuable collections of Spanish art. Titian's Bacchanal are among the highlights of the Prado. |
