Photographic prints (1926) of portraits of Joseph Hewes (1730-1779) and William Hooper (1742-1790), two of the three signers of the Declaration of Independence from North Carolina and two letters from Fred. A. Olds. The first letter from Olds is dated 12/3/1925, presenting a set of Confederate and South Carolina currency, 1861-1865; the second, dated 8/4/1926, offering the photographs to the Librarian of East Carolina Teachers' College and providing biographical details of the signers. |
