Text, layout, and format are similar to other children's chapbooks printed by Merrifield and bearing a wrapper imprint statement naming John Wilcox of Newport, N.H. as the publisher and 1837 as the issue date. Shaw & Shoemaker's American bibliography assigns an estimated publication date of 1810. |
