|
General note | Spine title: Register 1808. |
General note | Pages [2-14] contain the almanac. The calendar pages are a shorter but otherwise identical version of those in The Farmer's almanack for 1808, by Robert B. Thomas (also published by John West) (Shaw & Shoemaker 12538). But the eclipse predictions bear no resemblance to Thomas's, and instead replicate those in Poor Richard's Franklin almanac for 1808, by "an inhabitant of Boston" (Shaw & Shoemaker 13413). Poor Richard's was printed by Manning & Loring. |
