| Abstract |
Upon her father's death, Amei returns to the village in Taiwan where her father grows up. During her stays there, She experiences the complicated funeral traditions, bizarre superstitious customs, along with the sincere and rustic human touches. After she returns back to her normal city life, Amei is one day suddenly overwhelmed by the pining thoughts over her father, which leads to her serious reflection on the meaning of death and life. |
