General note | The biographical material was collected and put in order by the Right Rev. Joseph Rosati. In 1840 the manuscript was entrusted to the Rev. J.B. Semeria of Rome who agreed to collect further information about Father De Andreis' early life and prepare the work for the printer. However, an Italian edition was never published. The manuscript was translated into English by Rev. Francis Burlando and published in Baltimore in 1861. |
