Abstract |
In this interview, Captain Miller comments on his education, his commissioning as a USNR officer, and his assignment to the Brooklyn Navy Yard. He discusses working on the construction of the USS IOWA and USS MISSOURI, before being reassigned to the Annapolis Yacht Yard. He describes reviewing the design and overseeing construction for PT boats during World War II; serving on the crew of the Cache VAMARIE for Naval Academy racing; and his assignment to the Boston Navy Yard, where he was responsible for design and estimates for ship repairs. |
