This collection contains Melba Woodruff's reflections on life as a student at East Carolina Teachers College from 1932-1933, a program celebrating her writing of the school song, handwritten musical scores for two school songs, and some of her poetry. |

Biographical note | Melba Watson attended East Carolina Teachers College in 1932 and 1933, during which time she composed the school song. She also attended Wake Forest College and Atlantic Christian College (later Barton College). She taught school in Micro and Selma, North Carolina. In 1938, she married Leon Woodruff. |
