Abstract Drs. Dermer and Christiansen begin by discussing what psychometric tests are and how those instruments and measures can be used to support case conceptualization. Psychometric tests are a very helpful tool as an integrated part of assessment, intervention, and effectiveness evaluation. Dr. Christiansen then moves on to a one-on-one supervision consultation. In this mock demonstration with an advisee, she discusses issues and challenges related to using psychometric tests. The program concludes with Drs. Dermer and Christiansen reviewing the most important points addressed during the mock demonstration, such as the importance of using measures as a guide for treatment planning in an objective way.
