Abstract Reel 1, shows the route of the Carpenter-Whitney expedition on a map of Alaska. The expedition's ship passes sea gulls and sea lions. A train leaves Anchorage with the expedition. Shows the Alaska Agricultural College and School of Mines near Fairbanks; deer, goats, sheep, and husky dogs. The expedition departs from the Arctic Circle and eats lunch on a river bank. Reel 2 shows a trapper's camp, dogs pulling a toboggan through the forest and a small boat along a river, a salmon wheel, and caribou. Part 3 shows ptarmigan, wild foxes, and sheep. A bear charges a cameraman. Reel 4, a game commissioner arrives at Tustumena Lake.
