The collection consists of two photographs of the conjoined twins Millie-Christine McCoy (1851-1912), who were born as African-American slaves in Columbus County, North Carolina. The circa 1870 photograph is a carte de visite. The circa 1900 cabinet photograph was taken by Frank Wendt, Boonton, New Jersey, and is autographed on verso by Millie-Christine. |
