Abstract Captain Quentin C. Crommelin, USNA Class of 1941, relates his experiences and those of his four brothers as naval officers during World War II. Among the topics discussed are the torpedoing of the USS SARATOGA, duty in the South Pacific, flight training, combat experiences, and the aviation deaths of two brothers. Postwar commentary concerns duty as squadron commander, association with Admiral J.L. Holloway, Jr., and their opinions of Admiral Hyman Rickover.
