Abstract |
This guide will assist paddlers, naturalists, and historians exploring the Dismal Swamp and related waterways in southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. Information on access points and paddling sections will help in the selection of where to paddle and what to expect when there. Maps are included for each river or creek. Historical accounts show how significant the Great Dismal Swamp and related waterways have been to our cultural past. Includes checklists of animals living in the area. |
