Spetrino (1937-2017) was a retired Navy captain who worked with the Office of Naval Intelligence (1972-1977), the Defense Intelligence Agency (1977-1984), and the Central Intelligence Agency (1984-1999). This collection contains Naval personnel files (1971-1999); research papers; tactical manuals; training certificates; military journals, training documents, and publications; correspondence (2000s); DVDs and CDs; and Psychological Operations Campaign materials. |

| Biographical note | David Arthur Spetrino (1937-2017) was a captain in the United States Navy who also worked with Office of Naval Intelligence (1972-1977), the Defense Intelligence Agency (1977-1984), the Central Intelligence Agency (1984-1999), and the State Department. Spetrino retired to Wilmington, North Carolina, and was very involved in the community as a member of the Civitans. |
