Abstract |
A young caballero fleeing the Spanish Inquisition joins Cortez's first expedition to the New World; a Saxon youth flees England during the time of the Crusades and travels to China; a bullfighter lusts after a socialite in spite of his faithful girlfriend who stands by him as he faces danger in the ring; in 1500, a young man betrays Duke Cesare Borgia when he falls in love with the wife of the count of Citta' del Monte, the Duke's next intended conquest; an orphaned young man, working for his uncle, Sir Arthur Blake, as a bonded servant, sets sail to make his fortune in order to return and claim his father's estate. |
