| Biographical note | Author Tom J. Edwards is a public historian and the former Executive Director of the Lakeside Foundation, a nonprofit Ohio Christian family resort on Lake Erie, and Administrative Assistant for the Darlington County, South Carolina, Superintendent of Education. He also served as president of the South Carolina Archaeological Society and was instrumental in securing the listing of several sites in Ohio and South Carolina on the Natioal Register of Historic Places. |
