A True and particular account of the cruel and inhuman murder, that was committed by one Susanna Morton, aged 23 years, on her bastard child, with the assistance of one James Preston, aged 70, who were both executed on Thursday last, at Derby, together with their last dying words and confessions; likewise the most remarkable and shocking account of Ann Hoon, aged 24 years, for the murder of her infant child, about 14 months old, by throwing it into a tub of water, in order to surrender herself up for execution, on account of her being threatened with a prosecution for breaking down a rail or two of a fencing belonging to a gentleman's plantation in the neighbourhood, she being short of wood to heat her oven, and could not bear the thoughts of being parted from her child whom she was so fond of. Also an account of the murder of Hannah Oldfield, by Job Ward, her fellow servant, by giving her arsenic, for the purpose of procuring abhortion, she being with child by him

A True and particular account of the loss of the Halsewell (East-Indiaman,) Capt. Richard Pierce, which was unfortunately cast away, at Seacombe, in the Isle of Purbeck, on the coast of Dorsetshire, on Friday morning, January 6, 1786 : Shewing the paternal behaviour of Capt. Pierce, who preferr'd perishing with his daughters, to the being preserved without them. I. Their sailing from the downs, with a fair wind, and agreeable prospect. II. A list of the amiable young ladies, and gentlemen passengers. III. A strong gale springs up soon after, which occasions them to cut their cables, and run off to sea. IV. A journal of their proceedings and distresses before the ship struck on the rocks of Purbeck, near Portland. V. Murder found out, and cruelty rewarded : Being a true and faithful narrative, containing the history of Richard Sutton and sally miles, near Dartmouth, in Devonshire. Contents. I. An accont of their families, with the animosity which subsisted between them. II. Their parents disapprove of their children's love, but they meet by stealth. III. Richard leaves his father, runs away and robs him; sends a letter to sally, who goes to him. IV. Sally is with child, and Richard leaves her and is gone for several months. V. He gets into bad company, and acquainted with another young woman. VI. Returns with an intent to murder sally, finds her brought to bed. VII. She goes with him, and in a wood he takes away the child under pretence of carrying it to nurse, and murders it. VIII. Sally continues in the wood in great terror for several days. IX. A dog brings a child's head into the town, and by his means the remains of the child are found. X. Sally is taken, who declares this, and all the knows concerning the murder. XI. She is committed to take her trial, and search is made after sutton. XII. He is detected by the same dog, brought before a magistrate and committed. XIII. Tried, cast and sentenced. His behaviour. XIV. His execution. The horror of his mind. His body delivered to the surgeons. XV. Sally is received by her brother and sister, conclusion
