By order of His Excellency Sir William Howe, K.B. general and commander in chief, &c. &c. &c. Proclamation : Whereas complaint hath been made to the police, that divers ill-disposed persons have, under pretence of bringing in provisions, gone up and down the River Delaware, landed in divers parts of Pennsylvania and the Jerseys, and taken by force, the property of several of His Majesty's loyal subjects.
