It being earnestly desired by many pious and judicious people : that particular accounts of the revival of religion in every town ... may be taken and published in the Christian history, judging it would greatly tend to the glory of our Redeemer ... and being informed of the revival of this happy work in your congregation: This comes therefore to intreat you, for that purpose, to send me as cautious and exact an account as may be, of the rise, progress and effects of this work among you to the present day.
