Abstract |
Dentist Dr. Enrique A. Riggs was born on June 3, 1943, in Panama City, Panama. After earning his B.A. in psychology from Central State University, Riggs enlisted in the Army Reserve, rising to the rank of colonel in the Dental Corps. Earning an M.S. degree in counseling from the State University of New York at Albany, he received his degree in clinical dentistry from Howard University in 1978. Since then he has been in private practice with his wife, Dr. Carol Morales, in Harlem. He co-founded the Small Business Stock Exchange of America in 1983 and has served on its board of directors. In 1995, Riggs became a military academy liaison at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He later used his dental expertise to help identify victims of the World Trade Center attacks. In 2002, he was appointed North Atlantic Region Dental Commander in the U.S. Army Reserve. |
