Variant title Reducing ISV : student voice
Abstract This film looks at how student voice can be used as a key driver for reducing in-school variation (ISV). At Eggar's School, a group of year 11s has been trained to observe lessons, used as part of the push to reduce within school variation. The Headteacher advises that the emphasis needs to be on the learning which takes place in a lesson and not on criticising teachers. We see the students observe the Art and DT departments and share their findings with the two heads of department.
