This collection of official records will document the history of Pitt County, North Carolina, schools from about 1910 until the 1990s, highlighting especially the era of segregation. Included are reports on school funding for "white" and colored" schools, correspondence from G.R. Whitfield and Arthur S. Alford, audit reports, school scrapbooks, building specifications, football pamphlets for J.H. Rose High School, trophy cups, and material related to teachers' benefits and salaries. |
