Scope and content |
Photograph album depicting the life of an unnamed U.S. soldier in 1949 and probably in the early 1950s. Apparently a motorcycle enthusiast, many photographs depict young men and women racing and doing tricks with their motorcycles. Mixed in with shots of trips to the beach and the zoo, Christmas celebrations, and pictures of girls are pictures of his army training and subsequent duty in Paris, France. Paris shots include scenes at the barracks, tourist sites, a bar called La Roulotte, and interacting with the locals. |
