Abstract |
Shows a collection of early motion picture films serving as historical artificates and revealing the foundation from which styles and stories of the comtemporary cinema would later arise. Presents a large collection of short films from two fo the most influential figures in early filmmaking, August and Lous Lumière. Also shows some collected works of other revolutionary filmmakers including Birt Acres, Robert W. Paul, George Albert Smith, Walter Haggar and sons, Frank Mottershaw of the Sheffield Photographic Company, James Bamforth and James Williamson. |
