Abstract |
In the book, Kamanya believes in the shaman's wisdom about the healing properties of plants found in the Amazon rain forest and hopes one day to be a healer for his people. LeVar Burton and Mark Plotkin then visit the Tirio people, and learn about traditional medicines, customs, and crafts. The real-life Kamanya then shows them his world in the Amazon. |
